Vincent van Gogh, the hill of Montmartre, 1886
The exhibition shows a part of the collection of the Van Vlissingen Art Foundation, including works of artists such as Monet, Renoir, Signac, Matisse, Picasso and this drawing that only very recently has been attributed with certainty to Vincent van Gogh.
Also included are works by contemporary artists who have received a contribution of the Van Vlissingen Art Foundation for their art awareness among a wide audience: Bastiaan Walter, Scarlett Hooft Graafland, Erik de Bree, Nathalie Demirel and Peter Blokhuis, Eppe de Haan or Tomas Hillebrand.
The exhibition is the outcome of a Wonderful Journey of a collectors couple John and Marine van Vlissingen that amassed for more than 45 years a large and interesting collection.
