Summit meeting between two great painters: Works by the internationally acclaimed painter Katharina Grosse (*1961) are juxtaposed with paintings by her former teacher Gotthard Graubner (1930-2013), under whom Grosse studied as a master-class student at the Düsseldorf Academy of the Arts during the 1980s. Two abstract artists from two generations, each adopting a very different artistic approach. The outcome is an exhibition of “attracting opposites” and a homage to the medium of painting.
