Rachel Rose. Wil-O-Wisp
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo will present the European premier of Rachel Rose’s video installation Wil-O-Wisp, (2018). Produced in collaboration with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the work is result of the inaugural Future Fields Commission in Time-Based Media, a commissioning program designed for the acquisition of new work in the field of time-based media. Through her videos, Rachel Rose investigates our images-saturated environment and the
various representation of history. In this work, the artist turns her attention to a tumultuous historical moment – England in the late 1500s – and the persecution of women accused of witchcraft.

Lynette Yiadom-Boakye
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo will showcase a selection of works from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection by UK based Ghanaian artist Lynette Yiadom-Boakye. The artist is known for her pictorial research centered on the representation of the human figure, in particular representations of fictitious characters of
colour. Through these works Yiadom-Boakye reflects on identity as well as on the specificity of the pictorial medium. In 2013, Yiadom-Boakye was a finalist of the prestigious Turner Prize.

Andra Ursuta. Vanilla Isis
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo presents Vanilla Isis, the solo exhibition of Andra Ursuta, a Romanian artist based in New York. Through her sculptures and installations, the artist humorously investigates the vulnerability of men and women in the contemporary age, giving rise to irreverent and provocative works. The exhibition will bring together existing works and new productions
focused on the theme of propaganda and the relationship between extremism and popular culture.

Monster Chetwynd. The Owl with the Laser Eyes
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo presents The Owl with the Laser Eyes, a solo exhibition of works by British artist Monster Chetwynd. Through the union of different mediums — including performance, sculpture, painting, installation and video — the artist investigates the relationship between art and theatre, creating works with strong cultural impact. The exhibition
at the Fondazione will present a series of new paintings in which the artist reconfigures visual and sculptural elements from previous performances, along with a new performance project especially conceived for the show.
