Museum Voorlinden: Registrar

Museum Voorlinden is a young museum for modern and contemporary art in Wassenaar. We offer a total experience of art, nature and architecture; an oasis in the busy Randstad. Besides changing presentations of our own collection, which grows daily, we organize three to four (inter)national exhibitions a year. With an enthusiastic team we run the museum, the collection, the store and the restaurant.

Do you want to manage all the movements within one of the nicest contemporary art collections in the Netherlands? And do you like to guide projects from a to z, with an eye for even the smallest details? Good! Because effective immediately we are looking for a:

Registrar

for 40 hours a week

What will you be doing?

You coordinate all collection movements both inside and outside the museum;
You are the contact person for external parties such as museums, loan applicants, galleries and transporters;
You manage, preserve and register the collection, both physically in the depot and digitally in The Museum System (TMS);
You arrange, supervise and oversee the execution of art transports;
You coordinate the maintenance activities in the depot;
You coordinate the set-up of a new depot;
You will work within the art team under the direction of the management.

Who are we looking for?

You have completed at least a higher professional or university education in the field of (art) history or a related field;
You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position;
You have experience with object/art handling and documenting art;
You have demonstrable experience with (inter)national loan traffic and the ensuing logistics, planning and purchasing of art transports;
You have knowledge of collection insurance and administrative activities;
You have good organizational skills;
You are accurate, flexible, service-oriented, stress-resistant and reliable;
You are a team player, but can also work well independently;
You have an excellent oral and written knowledge of the Dutch and English language and preferably master another foreign language (German/French);
You live in the area of Wassenaar/The Hague;
You are in possession of a driving license.
