Julika Bosch will be the new artistic director of the Philara Collection.
The art historian, who grew up in Düsseldorf, studied general and comparative literature, communication studies, art history, as well as modern and contemporary art history in Bochum and Istanbul. Most recently, she worked as curator and acting head of the artistic department at the Kestner Gesellschaft in Hanover. There she realized, among others, the exhibition Mother Tongue with Camille Henrot, as well as the exhibition HOST with Hassan Khan. Together with Christina Végh, she presented a retrospective exhibition on the work of Jean-Luc Mylayne, which was developed in collaboration with the Fondation Vincent van Gogh. In 2019, Julika Bosch collaborated with Christina Végh and Philipp Kaiser on the exhibition Where Art Can Happen.
