Judd Foundation maintains and preserves Donald Judd’s permanently installed living and working spaces, libraries, and archives in New York and Marfa, Texas. The Foundation promotes a wider understanding of Judd’s artistic legacy by providing access to these spaces and resources and by developing scholarly and educational programs. Judd Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Position Description: An internship is available for undergraduate or recent graduates of art, arts administration, museum studies or art/architectural history programs interested in gaining a broad range of experience at a non-profit artist foundation.
Working at the Foundation offices at 101 Spring Street, the intern will learn and develop new skillsets by gaining experience in the areas of communications, development, programs and visitor services. The intern will work across departments with staff to organize press, assist with donor research, support Judd Foundation events and programs, and greet visitors. Additional administrative tasks and projects may be assigned based on Foundation needs and intern aptitude.
Familiarity with programs such as Mac OS X, Raiser’s Edge donor database, WordPress, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferable.
Start date: February 2019 or sooner. Duration: Minimum of 3 months. Longer terms available based on Foundation need and the intern’s desires. The Foundation requires a commitment of minimum of 2, maximum of 3 days a week.
