CUE Art Foundation: Development Intern – Fall 2019

About CUE:

CUE Art Foundation is a 16-year-old visual arts center dedicated to creating opportunities for emerging and under-recognized artists, curators, and writers through exhibitions, public programming, and arts education.

Position description:

CUE seeks a motivated intern who is interested in learning about fundraising in a small arts organization. The intern will assist with a wide array of tasks, gaining hands-on experience with non-profit fundraising and planning CUE’s 2019 Fall Gala.

Tasks include:

– Assisting in all aspects of planning and executing CUE’s fall fundraising event, in particular organizing, executing and settling an art auction

– Researching fundraising prospects

– Communicating with donors; writing gift acknowledgements, tax receipts, and thank you’s

-Maintaining Salesforce donor database; tracking gifts and ticket purchases

-Maintaining website and social media content


The ideal candidate would be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in visual arts, arts administration, non-profit management, or a related field.

Strong writing/research skills and a demonstrated interest in the visual arts is required. Familiarity with social media platforms and Salesforce or other fundraising or CRM software is preferred.


Approximately 2-3 days a week, Fall 2019 for 10-12 weeks. The gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9.30am-5.30pm. Ability to attend occasional evening and/or weekend events is strongly preferred.

Compensation: CUE provides a modest stipend.
