Camargo Foundation : Administrative, Communication, and Logistics Assistant Internship

The Camargo Foundation, located in Cassis, was created by artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill. It is a place of residence dedicated to art and the human and social sciences. In a quality environment, it offers time and space for reflection, creation and exchange. The Foundation supports the work of artists, researchers and thinkers in the arts and humanities and social sciences.

During this period, various residency programs will take place, such as :
– The fall session of the main program: residency for 10 artists and researchers, from 10
September to November 5, 2019;
– Various artist and researcher residency programs in partnership with different organizations
organizations such as LabexMed/Aix-Marseille University, Goethe-Institut, 3Arts, Jerome
Foundation, The Medieval Workshop, BAU Institute….
Internal and/or public events will be regularly organised at the Foundation in connection with the various programmes.

Position description

The person will assist the team (composed of 6 permanent staff) in the following tasks:
Specific research/studies:
– On financing opportunities in France and Europe
– On the various equivalent foundations in France and Europe

Communication :
– Updating of communication tools: website, Facebook, communication documents – Revision and translation of texts in French and English
– Database updates (newsletter and fundraising)
– Digital monitoring

Logistics and reception:
– Participation in the preparation of the apartments and the proper functioning of the site for the reception of residents (inventories, management of the linen stock, etc.)
– Reception, assistance and information for residents by providing them with the necessary information about Camargo, Cassis and the region
– Participation in the organization of periodic meetings with residents and events held at the Foundation
– Participation in the design and coordination of public visits to the site
– Participation in the organization of events and external actions, including school-based interventions and meetings

Description of the profile required
– Master I or Master II level
– Interest and commitments in the cultural or research sector – If possible experience abroad
– English (written and spoken fluently) required
– Developed interpersonal skills

Description of the experience sought
– Past experience in communication and logistics

Proposed compensation
Minimum bonus + possibility of accommodation on site in Cassis
