Fondazione La Quadriennale di Roma : Q-International Grant
Q-INTERNATIONAL is a grant aimed at supporting non-Italian institutions and organisations which showcase Italian artists.
The Q-INTERNATIONAL grant is part of the new programme of the Quadriennale di Roma, aimed at increasing the visibility of Italian artists outside the national boundaries through an activity of constant dialogue and exchange with international organizations.
Eligible for Q-INTERNATIONAL grants are non-Italian non-profit public or private organisations whose purpose is the promotion of the contemporary visual arts: museums, university institutes, kunsthalle, kunstverein, kunsthaus, centres for contemporary art, foundations, alternative spaces, cultural associations and organisations such as biennials, triennials and quadrennials can apply for funding for projects which involve one or more Italian artists.
Q-INTERNATIONAL wishes to provide an opportunity for flexible and rapid support for expenses linked to the organisation of the artistic events, from art transport costs, to artists’ travel and accommodation expenses, to contributions for performance fees or publications, with the exclusion of costs related to the production of artworks.
The Q-International call is published regulary twice a year. The third call (Spring 2019) will be published on 30 April 2019.
The applications received will be assessed by a committee composed of Cristiana Collu (director of the Galleria Nazionale d’ArteModerna e Contemporanea, Rome), Cesare Pietroiusti (president of Palaexpo,artist and professor) and Andrea Viliani (director of MADRE – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina, Naples). The committee, headed by Franco Bernabè, president of the Fondazione Quadriennale di Roma, will also include its artistic director, Sarah Cosulich, and its curator Stefano Collicelli Cagol.
