Museum Voorlinden : Trainee
Traineeship (6-12 months, 5 days per week, immediately)
Who are we?
Museum Voorlinden is a museum for modern and contemporary art, located on the estate of the same name in Wassenaar. In addition to changing presentations from its own collection, Museum Voorlinden also presents temporary solo exhibitions and various permanent artworks. The museum’s collection consists of a wide range of media, including painting, photography, artist’s books, video works, installations and sculpture.
We run the museum with a small enthusiastic staff team. We coordinate loans to (inter) national museums, make exhibitions, maintain contact with artists, galleries, auction houses etc. We organize guided tours through our sculpture garden in Wassenaar and of course in the museum. In addition, our team is involved in the peripheral programming around the exhibitions and openings in and around the museum.
Who are we looking for?
You have an affinity with modern and contemporary art. You have just graduated at a minimum of Bachelor level. Education in the field of art is preferred. You have a flexible, pragmatic attitude, you are an all-rounder who is versatile and knows how to handle things. You preferably have experience in giving tours. You have affinity with administrative duties and you can communicate well at all levels. You preferably have another foreign language besides Dutch and English. You are an independent, accurate worker with an eye for detail. You live within reachable distance of our office in Wassenaar.
