CUE Art Foundation was established in 2002 by a group of enterprising and visionary art enthusiasts who wanted to showcase a wide range of outstanding artwork from across the USA. Since that time, CUE’s founders have remained committed to supporting artists at all stages of their careers. Operating from their 400 square metre storefront venue in New York’s Chelsea Arts District, they are a foundation in the heart of New York City.
CUE Art Foundation is a dynamic visual arts centre dedicated to creating educational opportunities for emerging and under-recognised artists of all ages. Through exhibitions, arts education, and public programmes, CUE provides artists and audiences with sustaining and meaningful experiences and resources. It is a non profit forum for contemporary art and cultural exchanges between artists and the public.
CUE gives artists, students, scholars and art professionals resources at many stages of their creative lives. These programmes are life changing to the students and artists who participate and provide them with tools and resources needed to start and sustain successful careers as artists.
CUE’s core programmes comprise exhibitions, which include solo exhibitions for emerging artists; an annual fellowship for an emerging curator; mentorship and publication opportunities for emerging writers; professional development workshops for practising artists; and intensive art education for high school students. Additional programmes consist of studio residences, publications, symposia, readings and performances.
