“Art does not stop being haunted by animals. »
Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari
For the third consecutive year, the Espace Monte-Cristo presents in Paris the new acquisitions of the Villa Datris Foundation Collection (located in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in the Luberon).
Bêtes de Scène à Paris ! Animals in Contemporary Sculpture revisits in a new scenography the exhibition which gathered more than 51,000 visitors in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in 2019.
Through a selection of 57 sculptures by 29 French and international artists, it takes a contemporary artistic look at the animal: from wild beauty to the beast that slumbers within us.
