The Francès Foundation presents a first exhibition-sale entitled “MÊME POUR LE SIMPLE ENVOL D’UN PAPILLON, TOUT LE CIEL EST NECESSAIRE” (EVEN FOR THE SIMPLE FLIGHT OF A BUTTERFLY, THE WHOLE SKY IS NECESSARY), created in partnership with the association Françoise Art Mémo and on display from Saturday, June 19 to Saturday until August 28, 2021 in Senlis.
“MÊME POUR LE SIMPLE ENVOL D’UN PAPILLON, TOUT LE CIEL EST NECESSAIRE” is an exhibition-sale open to emerging creation, proposed in response to the context of the health crisis to support artists and the dissemination of works.
Sixteen works presented at the sale, gathered around a theme, imposing themselves by their intrinsic qualities and their capacity to move. Thus, they will undoubtedly provoke the desire to be contemplated or to join the intimacy of a collection. Their prices range from 800 to 10,300 euros.
“MÊME POUR LE SIMPLE ENVOL D’UN PAPILLON, TOUT LE CIEL EST NECESSAIRE” is presented first of all as an exhibition out of the tone of an era dominated by new technologies and the incessant research of new aesthetic concepts. This exhibition is more of an experience, one of emotions that never cease to play while questioning themselves, making multiple round-trips in the history of art and techniques and revealing in the manner of an immeasurable adventure, all the power of art.
Nine young international artists are exhibited, including eight women, bringing together constructions of singular universes where one finds an attachment to classical and artisanal practices such as painting, sculpture and engraving. In this way, these artists accomplish a skillful exorcism, sometimes powerful, sometimes joyful, redirecting the viewer on the track of sensations. This is not a sleight of hand that puts technique and artistic process above all else, but also recognizes a continuous narrative, a prophetic and magical fable that is created through this body of work in various media.
For all that, it is obvious that these artists have this capacity to serve a technique and to deploy a force in the making of their works so that the viewer seizes the energy of the gesture. Then comes the obstinacy of the artist for his work in which is born the beauty of a flight, it is the work which appears.
