Internship/side job Fondation Constant: documenting working spaces in Constant’s home
Fondation Constant is looking for a student to help us document the watercolor studio, library and music room in the home of the Dutch painter Constant Nieuwenhuys (1920-2005) and help us organise his archive.

About Fondation Constant:
Fondation Constant manages the legacy, collection and copyrights of artist Constant Nieuwenhuys (1920-2005) and does research for the digital catalogue raisonné. In January 2017 an academic committee was installed to oversee the production of the catalogue raisonné. The assignment:
We are moving the archive from the house, where Constant lived and worked from 1979 till his passing in 2005. We are looking for a student, who can document the collections and items in his watercolor studio and library and eventually write a documentation rapport (in English). This report can then be used for reserach for the catalogue raisonné and further research in connected topics. Also we need help organising the archive.

During this internship you be working closely with Constant’s last wife, Trudy Nieuwenhuy, head research and member of the board of Fondation Constant and project manager, Kim van der Horst. 

Internship period: minimal 4 to 6 months, 2 days/week.

Starting: immediately

Compensation: 250-350€/month

Location: Amsterdam, city centre

We are looking for someone:

– with a BA Cultural Heritance or MA Museology,

– who works precise and driven,

– who has an interest in Constant, his work and ideas,

– and who can write Dutch (and English) flawlessly
