Clyfford Still Museum: Accounting Specialist – Part Time

Status: Half-time, non-exempt, no benefits
Reports to: Finance Director/Controller

The Clyfford Still Museum is a vibrant new institution located in Denver’s Golden Triangle Cultural District. The Accounting Specialist provides accounting and administrative support to the organization. The role comprises all aspects of accounts payable and other related accounting duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review, code, and enter accounts payable invoices and other transactions in the QuickBooks Online accounting system
  • Responsible for all credit card entries
  • Reconcile daily cash deposits on a weekly basis
  • Make weekly bank deposits in the accounting software
  • Perform weekly check runs
  • Maintain proper supporting documentation of accounts payable transactions
  • Reconcile, secure, and manage petty cash
  • W9 administration and annual filing
  • Perform other accounting and related duties for the organization as needed

Minimum Education, Job Qualifications and Experience

  • General Accounting knowledge, with at least 3 to 5 years of accounts payable experience is preferred; degree is desirable
  • Prior experience using QuickBooks Online, PayCom, and Altru (Blackbaud) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Strong analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Personal qualities of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and forthrightness
  • Ability to maintain high ethical standards and manage confidential information appropriately
  • Strong work ethic; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Background check is required
