After consultation with the Board of Directors, the President of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, Serge Toubiana, has appointed CLÉMENT CHÉROUX as Director of the Foundation.

He succeeds François Hébel, appointed director of the Foundation in 2018, who was the architect of the installation of the Foundation on rue des Archives, then of its extension which will be inaugurated on 8 November 2022, and Agnès Sire, founder of the institution alongside Henri Cartier-Bresson, Martine Franck and their daughter Mélanie Cartier-Bresson. Through a demanding programme of nearly sixty exhibitions, Agnès Sire has made the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation one of the leading centres for photography, while ensuring that the work of its founders is respected and disseminated. Since 2018, she has devoted herself to the programming and artistic influence of the foundation.

Clément Chéroux will take up his post on 5 December 2022
