Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation: Assistant to the Grant Manager (Temporary, Part Time)
The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation has been awarding financial aid to mature, creative painters, sculptors, and printmakers since 1976. The Foundation offers two grant programs: the Gottlieb Foundation Individual Support Grant and the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant.
We are seeking a candidate for a temporary, part time position of Assistant to the Grants Manager. A background in studio art, art history or arts administration is preferred. Database, strong computer and excellent communication skills are required. Job commences October 29, 2019 until late March or early April 2020. The job applicant must be available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am – 4pm. Salary is $18.50/hour.

The candidate will assist the Grants Manager in the operation of the two grant programs, primarily the annual Gottlieb Foundation Individual Support grant program, which has deadline of December 2019. After the review process during the winter of 2020, 12 grants of $25,000 will be awarded in mid-April 2020. Any interested candidate must be fully available during this time. Assistant will respond to application requests and queries for both grant programs as well as assist in the processing of submitted applications. Other tasks include answering phones, data entry, screening application materials for eligibility, preparing grant materials for review and other administrative duties.
